Due to missing slates and nail rot the customer choose the option of a new roof.
We stripped the old natural slates and rotten lats off and desposed into a skip, then using new breatherble felt at treated lats to the correct latting gauge for the cembirt slates we covered the roof, after that we applyed the new slates to the lats, using alloy nails and acopper rivets. Once it was slated using code 4 lead, we installed flashing to the chimney and to all abupment walls. Finishing off with a dryfix system we installed the new ridge tiles, to the new roof.
